As the weather warms, may we feel the warmth of God’s love, and see the marvels of His creation all around us.

Our parish continues to celebrate the Easter Season, which lasts until the feast of Pentecost on June 9th.

 

Thank you for helping us to decorate our church with beautiful Easter flowers.

 

 

 

The month begins with the Memorial of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1st.

St. Joseph is the patron of all manual laborers, as well as the patron of the universal Church.

We honor him as the foster father of Jesus.

 

 

 

Our parish prays the Rosary in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary

every evening at 7:00 pm during the month of May.

We gather at the outdoor shrine to Our Lady. Please join us.

 

 

Friday, May 3rd is the feast of Saints Philip and James, apostles.

Philip was among the first disciples called by Jesus.

James became a leader of the Jerusalem church.

 

 

Friday, May 3rd , is also the first Friday of the month. We will have two holy hours,

with solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction – one at 8:00 a.m.

(in English, followed by 9:00 a.m. Mass) and 6:30 a.m. (in Spanish, followed by 7:30 p.m. Mass). Please join us.

 

 

 

We celebrate First Holy Communion this month for 229 children

of our parish on the following days:

Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 pm (special needs)

Saturday, May 4th at 10:30 am

With our Academy students

Saturday, May 11th at 11:00 am

Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 am

Saturday, June 1st at 11:00 am

 

Please pray for our young parishioners who continue their initiation into the faith.

 


We salute all our parishioners from Mexico.

 

 

 

Sunday, May 12th is Mother’s Day. We celebrate all our mothers with a dinner / dance on

Saturday, May 11th from 7:00 pm to midnight. Tickets are available at the parish office (rectory).

 

 

Monday, May 27th is Memorial Day. It is fitting to coming to

Mass and pray for the preservation of Peace and Justice. Mass is at 9:00 am.

 

The feast of the Ascension of the Lord: Thursday, May 30th.

This feast is a holyday of obligation.

Masses for the Ascension are:

7:30 p.m. (Wednesday) in Spanish / 9:00 a.m. in English;

7:30 p.m. in Spanish.

 

The month concludes with this feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

It has been celebrated since the eighth century.
